“To this Person Who is seated at the Presidential Chair”

This is my first entry in this blog website; which as you can see is a political issue. In the last election, many seem to admire the innocent and somewhat “patriotic” attribute of the former Mayor of Davao City; Rodrigo Duterte. People have campaigned for him although they are just another stranger to him that even led in the verbal assault and bashing to other political candidate’s campaign manager. Since then, his supporters do everything just to praise this old man even it takes to contend other people. What may appear as a good and family-oriented man way-back 2016, was only exposed by the deadly-virus pandemic his true misogynist corrupt politician image.

Yes, I am not a fan of him since 2016. I don’t know why, but there’s something to him that is quite off which my instinct tells me that something is wrong due to how he speaks to his audience especially to conferences. How he casually throws insult and immoral jokes objectifying women, and how easily for him to “jokingly” order people to kill another being are already signs that something is not quite right. Now that the pandemic have happened and is happening, his wrongdoings are slowly being uncovered in front of the eyes of many; even to his supporters. Some even rose from their delusional dreams and withdrawn their support, while still many are turning a blind eye. He even acts in the silliest ways just to save his face and his cronies and spokesperson does not even want him to get near on the mic in conferences unless it is taped and edited because of his incomprehensible words.

Words are not enough to describe what I am feeling, but to the person who is seated at the presidential chair, I hope soon you’ll be enlightened on what the right path is. I hope soon you will understand how poor and how woesome this country is. I hope the promises you have bestowed to this nation may soon be fulfilled. The way you are selling our country to China and how Filipinos are slowly becoming ashes at the foot of Chinese may always hunt you. Remember, you may be the President but the real power lies on the Filipino ourselves. You may be the only one sitting on that chair, but never forget that there are still 109 million hungry Filipinos that will remove you from that office.

"He’s rapidly coming to be the worst ever for one reason alone: his deliberate policy of murder. He has made no bones about the fact that he’s encouraging mass murder against the alleged threat posed by “drugs” and “drug lords” (whereas studies show the drug problem is no way as critical as he claims it is). He has turned the police into assassins and wants to do likewise to the military. People are being murdered almost every night because they are allegedly drug addicts or dealers."

  1. Let your voice be heard. Each paragraph was planned and constructed carefully, the evidences were provided with accuracy. And the tone is powerful, empowering to the core. The bluntness in these sentences hit right to its mark. Well done

  3. The true power of a country is in the democracy of it's people, it is true that Digong fights for his own sake. You constructed your letter very relevant to what he is doing, and the immoralities he has.
